Selection

A panel carefully evaluates each packet. Admittance or denial is then communicated via U.S. Mail. Specific information about classes may or may not be included pending sufficient qualified applicants. Those accepted will receive a follow-up letter conveying class times and locations, as soon as the information becomes available. You will also receive the title of “Probationary Apprentice.” Upon completion of the program’s requirements, placement with a mentor in your field of interest for apprenticeship wages will occur. At that time, your status becomes “Apprentice.”

Classes

An orientation session will kick off the semester. It is designed to answer all your questions while clarifying the rules and standards of the program. This program is conducted like a live set. If you arrive on time, you’re late. As with ALL call times plan to arrive fifteen to thirty minutes early.

Core classes generally last six weeks and are primarily held on weekends. Mandatory classes are as follows: Set Protocol, Set Safety, First Aid / CPR, Story Boarding, Film History, and Industry Networking. Each class ends with a test that must receive a passing score. Instructors are committed to ensuring your success.

Pricing and descriptions can be viewed on the website. Tuition is expected before the start of each class. PayPal may be used through the website to pay tuition by utilizing the donation process in the amount of the class plus a $15.00 processing fee.

Specializing

Depending upon your field of interest, other specialty classes / training may be required. The industry requires experience as well as skill. For this reason, you must complete forty hours of volunteer work. Not only do you gain experience, but you also build critical contacts. We will help you find appropriate corresponding work for your volunteer hours.
